Val Cenis Ski Club

A native of Haute Maurienne, “Nicoach” is a former competitor of the Valcenis ski club, where he raced for 10 years at FIS district level, before joining the Modane ski-études and then the high-level section of the Embrun lycée’s pôle espoirs.

During this period, he also began training to become a ski instructor (BE) while continuing his studies. Nicolas obtained his Brevet d’Etat diploma in 2005, also training in foreign languages such as English, Dutch and Russian. In 2006, he joined Prosneige in Val Thorens, where he taught skiing and snowboarding for one season. When Prosneige Les Ménuires opened, Nicolas offered the instructors Géant training, with a view to obtaining the Eurotest. After two successful seasons, Prosneige Training was launched, in collaboration with the DEUST in Lyon. The aim: to train new instructors and support them throughout their studies in our ski schools.

After more than 15 years teaching and training, Nicolas is still passionate about skiing and top-level sport.

MATTEO ZILLI

An expert instructor and trainer in both snow and water sports, Matteo is renowned for his expertise, high standards and passion for teaching and training.

Originally from the mountains of Italy, Matteo discovered his passion for skiing at an early age. He devoted himself to perfecting his technique and pushing his limits in national and international competitions during his club years.

As a coach, Matteo now shares his knowledge and experience with skiers of all levels. His unique teaching approach and ability to pass on his passion make him a much-appreciated coach for skiers aspiring to progress and push their limits on the trails.

SAM JONES

Qualified ski and snowboard instructor, and operational director of the Prosneige Les Menuires ski school.

Sam joined the Prosneige training course alongside his studies in 2014. He successfully passed all the exams for the state diploma in alpine skiing. His practical experience as a training trainee has given him an in-depth understanding of the processes and requirements needed to pass the ski instructor diploma.

As Training Manager, Sam oversees the implementation of teaching programs and works closely with Nicolas, the Technical Test Group coach. His experience and skills make him an essential member of the Prosneige team, helping to ensure high-level training and solid results.

VANILLE MAUGER

Mental preparation instructor

Technical test trainer for 4 seasons

Coach Manager – preparation and development of mental skills

Instructor, trainer and mental coach, a keen skier. Drawing on her experience as a competitive skier, Vanille turned her attention to training skiers wishing to take the alpine ski diploma for 3 seasons. She guided future ski instructors in their preparation for the exams, drawing on her technical expertise and knowledge of alpine skiing.

At the same time, Vanille also trained in mental preparation, helping athletes to develop their concentration and confidence on the slopes.

As operational director of the Prosneige ski school in Val Thorens, Vanille manages operations and ensures that lessons run smoothly. Her experience and passion for ski teaching are valuable assets to the team.
