3RD SKI - 6 afternoons

Skiing background : Your child has skied in between 3 to 5 weeks. He/she skis parallel on blue slopes and already had a first experience on red slopes. Skates to move around if needed, and anticipate ground mouvements.
Goals of the week : Parallel turns, both short and long on red slopes. Learning new techniques to improve parallel stop. Your child will identify where it is safe to stop on the slopes, and regulate his speed according to his environment.

Week's program : On the first day, they get to know their instructors and the other children of the 3rd Ski level. All the groups will start together, warmup and harmonize on a blue or easy red slope. The groups will be defined by the levels and age of the children. During the first half day your child will get his technique and confidence back on easier slopes. Day after day, they will learn new skills thanks to the exercises and games set up by the instructor. The group will practice on different terrains that will help the children improve while having fun. Those exercises will facilitate their parallel turns and stops on red slopes by improving the position.

Hours :The lessons are taking place from 14:30 to 16:30.
More : The 3rd ski group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own paces and children have the opportunity to change groups during the week. Children can also enjoy some breaks and warm themselves up with a hot cocoa in our chalet. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on fridays, under the 3rd ski meeting point flag.

Remarks : Don't forget the ski-pass for the chairlifts, a little snack in their pocket for the break and sunscreen for the sunny days!
