Screens

Screens have different UV protection rates set by the European Union ranging from 1 to 4 depending on how much light is filtered out.
UV1 used in foggy conditions these screens filter between 20 and 40% of light.
UV2 in mixed conditions these screens filter between 47 and 82% of light.
UV3 in bright and sunny conditions these screens filter between 82 and 92% of light.
UV4 in very bright and sunny conditions mainly in spring these screens filter over 92% of light.

Photochromic screens : highly versatile, the screens adapt to light exposure and can be used in all weather conditions.
- Polarised screens : these screens absorb reflections and amplify contrast.

Coloured screens

Contrary to what is generally believed screen colours do not change the protection rate, they do however protect against sun glare.
- Green screens : accentuates natural colours present.
- Yellow/orange screens : accentuates contrast.
- Grey/black l screens : the most neutral, gives a more natural vision.
- Brown screens : often associated with visual comfort.
Goggles offer better protection than sunglasses as well as a wider field of vision . Specific models exist which can be placed over conventional glasses OTG ( Over The Glasses ) are often larger to allow air inside to prevent fogging up.

Google straps are also important aesthetically but also technically on some models a nonslip component is added on the inside to prevent movements

Frames

Not All frames are indentical apart from different colours and shapes available (thin fit, classic fit and large fit) some models are lighter and more flixible. The foam wich is in contact with your skin is not the same on all models : entry range goglles generally only have one basic foam whereas more comfortable models are equipped with tri density foam.
