Prosneige at Val Thorens

<p><strong>The experience of your child :</strong> They have more than 5 weeks of experience under their snowboard. They are confident on all types of terrain and snow conditions.<br> </p><p><strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Freestyle/Backcountry, mostly off-piste sessions. Practicing skills improvement, carving on red slopes and being able to adapt the radius of their turns depending on the terrain. The group will also practice their freestyle tricks at the park.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> Depending on the weather and snow conditions, they will practice on off-piste and discover the resort with their instructor. They will be taught how to use the off-piste safety equipment. The instructor will help the group to increase their technical skills to be able to adapt their riding to all kinds of snow conditions and terrain. They will also practice and learn tricks at the snow park.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Morning Lessons: Sunday (first day) 10:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00. Afternoon Lessons: Sunday to Friday 14:30 to 16:30, then 17:00 from the 5th February <br> </p><p><strong>More :</strong> You can also add Lunch Club to these lessons: Lunch & Activities 12:00 to 14:00. The Expert Snowboard group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children (from 8 years old). Everybody progresses at their own pace and have the opportunity to change groups during the week. <br> </p><p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget their ski-pass for the chairlifts, a little snack in the pocket for the break and sunscreen for the sunny days!<br></p>

<p><strong>Your Experience :</strong> Beginner, it is your first time snowboarding or you have just a couple of hours experience (or on dry slopes).<br> </p><p><strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Controlling speed with a heel edge or toe edge slide and be able to do linked turns on a green slope.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> You will be introduced to your instructor and the rest of the group. The instructor will then explain how the equipment works. You will do your first slides in a straight line in the beginner area. After you get familiar with your balance, you’ll learn how to change directions. At first you might fall so the instructor will also give you different tips on how to get up. During your progression you will discover which foot you have in front on the board (goofy or regular). Then we will start to learn how to control your speed on the back side edge. The instructor will then teach you how to cross the slope on the back and front side edge. Once you start getting comfortable with that you will learn how to control speed on your toe edge, the instructor will help you with the toe edge slide. We will then practice the transition between the toe and heel edge position to be able to link the turns. After you are able to ride down the slope doing heel & front-side turns you will be taught your first flat tricks like 180 slides.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Everyday from 12:00 to 14:00, during lunchtime.<br> <strong>More :</strong> During these hours the slopes are less occupied, allowing you to progress with serenity. Beginner Mini group lessons are limited to a maximum of 4 children. Everybody progresses at their own paces and you have the opportunity to change groups during the week. You can also enjoy some breaks and warm yourself up with a hot cocoa in our chalet on the slope. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget your sunscreen for the sunny days!<br></p>

Allan and the Prosneige team are looking forward to your arrival in Val Thorens. .<br> <strong>Lesson goals :</strong>Private lessons are an excellent way to make quick progress. You tell the instructor your goals and desires and he will create a personalized lesson plan for you. Whether you want to learn carving or snowplowing. You want to surpass yourself in off-piste, in the snowpark, or on a blue slope. You simply want to discover the 3 Valleys ski area alone or with your family for a day... You are in the right place. The instructor will guide you throughout the day and share with you his favorite exercices, itineraries in his playground.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> From 9:00am to 5:00pm depending on your wants and needs, you decide how long and what time suits you best.<br> </p><p><strong>More :</strong> The customized offer is adapted to the client's needs. You can set the meeting point with your instructor directly in front of your accommodation and even choose the instructor you would like. </p> <strong>Remarks :</strong> Ski-pass needed, you might bring a snack, a bottle of water and a camera for the memories.<br>
