Different types of construction

There are three main types of construction.
- In mould this technique uses an outer-shell made of resistant polycarbonate upon which an impact absorbing form is then fused directly onto. This allows for better ventilation and a lightweight product.
MIPS this is an enhanced safety feature, the resistant outer-shell and the softer impact absorbing foam is separated by another layer, this allows the two layers to move in case of impact, absorbing some of the force and protecting the brain. This system is slightly heavier.
Hybrid both techniques in used MIPS on the top and in mould around the base producing a helmet which is strong and light.

How to choose your helmet ?

First find the right size, we have sizers which are in centimetres, first you fit the front just above the eyebrows and then the back of the head just above the ears.

Comfort

Once you know your size you must then determine which model is adapted to your head. Place the helmet on your head and adjust the neck strap. Now you must move your head from side to side, up and down to make sure there's not too much movement. Note that some models can be adjusted at the back of the neck. Remember to always try helmets in combination with goggles to make sure that there is no gaps on the forehead.

Ventilation

Helmets keep you warm, there is no need to wear a beanie underneath, different brands and models have different ventilation systems which can be opened closed or fixed. Most models have internal soft pads which can be removed and cleaned
